A 300 Mbps cable plan and a 300 Mbps fiber plan share a download headline. Cable upload on cheaper Xfinity and Spectrum tiers is often a fraction of download. Fiber from AT&T and Fios is symmetrical on the tiers we list. 5G home is a range: T-Mobile publishes bands such as 170–354 Mbps on Rely, and the evening number can sit at the bottom.
Data caps are less of a fight than they were. Current published Xfinity internet plans are described as unlimited. Spectrum does not cap. Fiber and 5G home plans from AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile are unlimited on the cards we checked. A business account or a legacy plan can differ.
Equipment is the quiet line. Spectrum includes a modem and charges about $10 for Wi-Fi on lower tiers. Xfinity gateway rental is separate unless a promo waives it. Verizon and T-Mobile include the router on the home plans we list.
